What Is Compost?

Compost is a mixture of organic residues such as leaves and brush that have been piled and allowed to undergo aerobic biological decomposition, a process called “Composting.”

Compost provides plants with vital nutrients by improving microbial activity that helps release soil nutrients for plants. Composting is natural, it reduces and/or eliminates the need for chemical fertilizers that can be costly and potentially damaging to the environment.


 

How To Use Compost?

You can use compost as a mulch for your plants or to mix in a hole for a plant. Compost can also be mixed with some sand and soil to form potting soil for growing potted plants. You can also turn compost into top dressing for grass.
